Mikkeller Funky (e)★ [fung’ke e’st r] (Funky Easter)

Bottle, 75cl. pours a pale amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with brett, malt and notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with coriander and notes of brett. The palate is dry. Overall a good beer.

75cl at Hunter’s, Pori. Hazy copper, coarse huge lasting pale head. Mildly American hoppy nose, with dill, yeastiness, kiwi, smurffilimsa when warm, lots of raw berries, mostly gooseberry. Flavor has stuffy yeast, some sugar and dill, herbal hops, little alcohol and pale malts, more of that stuffy yeastiness. Medium to full bodied, further yeasty soft palate. Very uninspired.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Orangish brown pour with a foamy white head. Aroma is slightly funky, citrus, hoppy and spicy. Flavor is meaty, bretty, leather, tannic and some band aid.

( 750ml bottle, BB 16/12/14 ) Pours a cloudy orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of orange, leather, horseblanket, lychee, and herbal notes. Flavor of yeast, orange peel, florals, herbs, and light lime.

75 cl bottle. Hazy amber body with tan head. Flavour is malt, caramel and fruits.

BCTC. Many thanks to the incredible generosity of the RB crowd. Orange amber. Fruity leather orange mint aroma. Caramel funky cherry woody flavor. Creamy. Pretty good.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Beige dense head. Light flowery aroma. Citrus, light sourness, light fruits notable as well. Flavour is light sour and citric. Spice, fruits and herbs come to mind as well. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Has a dry bitter and sour end. Quite nice and very easy to drink. 9,4% doesnt come to mind.
